Greatest Alarm Clock Calander app!!

Roano here to tell you about the greatest app that every iPod/iPhone user must have!! This app not only has a calander but shows you the time and makes a great way to display and show off you iPod/iPhone in to your friends in the office and replace your alarm clock that keeps losing time or getting faster! This is a great alarm, it is loud and will wake you up and it is great! I recomend this app to all my friends and also to anyone who wants a different clock the the one that comes equiped with your iPod/iPhone. Great price for this app as there are so many choices but or this cost it is the best and greatest clock app you will ever need! lots of choices for colors and alarm themes and you can set your device in sleep mode, conserve battery power and still be able to wake you!! This is perect for me as I get up early and work nightshift. Best Clock App and the only one you will ever need!

Could be a lot better.

I think this app looks really cool and its usefull. But there are a lot of improvements needed… 1. Screen should not sleep 2. In-app option to dim screen 3. Option to snooze alarm 4. Option to lable alarm 5. Option to turn off 24hr mode on alarms 6. Add some better sample pics, the app looks way cooler than your pic shows 7. The app looks awsome, dont change how it looks.

Alarm?

Love the design, but the alarm function only works when the ap is open. ( I have the 1st gen phone). Any way to fix that?

Love The Style 

Love the flip style clock, with seconds, months and all the flips. Its a nice clock to display on a stand.. Cons: goes to sleep mode

Nice look, needs two things

As everyone says, need an option for supressing iphone sleep. Second thing I need to actually use this as desktop clock is the option to display HH:MM instead of HH:MM:SS, the ticking seconds simply drive me nuts to watch.

Whats That Noise?

I like the looks and the fact that it will wake me to any song from my library, but whats that noise? When I set the alarm and leave the app open so it will actually work, my phone keeps making a clicking noise three or four times a minute. Makes going to sleep quite difficult. It sounds like the app is constantly syncing itself with my phones internal clock, firing up and then stopping with an electrical "pop" sound. Anyway, maybe better for the heavy sleepers out there!

great time/cal app but...

I have numerous calendar and alarm clock apps and I like this one very much. I like the look more than the others for its simple clean design, but have a couple of suggestions to make it better. 1. On the calendar there needs to be a way to distinguish the current day of the week perhaps red on weekday and white on weekend or blinking for the current day or make it an option for a different color like blue or pink etc. But there needs to be something. 2. While I like the design, I find the small analog clock rather annoying and redundant. It is too small to read and clutters an otherwise very clean appearance. Please make this an option to display or eliminate altogether. 3. It would be great to be able to touch a designated holiday to see what the holiday is perhaps on a linked screen. Or to be able to put in personal holidays or designated days and then touch the day to see a linked screen which is editable. 4. have an option to show two months at once, this is less a problem than the first two, but if the dev could fix the first two this would be a leading app in its class. Hope they are listening. I still recommend and have given it five stars because it is very good, but because the field is so crowded the developer has to be better than the rest to get more sales and keep customers happy.

If only

Like others I think you guys have done a great job so far. SNOOZE SNOOZE SNOOZE button please. I find it just about impossible to have created an alarm clock and not have a snooze button form the start. Also when I touch, month, day and or day of week number, it seems to advance but not return. I can do the same to the clock, however it dose change back after a few seconds. Like others, I agree it would be nice for the overall screen to do a slight dim, but its not a deal breaker. And last, more alarm sounds would be nice. Thank you: Ill be looking forward to an update soon!!!!!!

Great graphics & operation

But...yes, it needs to disable the sleep!!!

Should be updated for retina display already... Geez!

I love this app but I cant wait till its updated for the retina display.

Lovely! But, no snooze?

I too hunted this app down after seeing the app in an ad for iPhone stands. Truly the most beautiful clock display available, but why no snooze?? I would use this as my only clock app if I could hit the snooze.

I really like it. I would like two changes though.

I would like the ability to turn off/on seconds. I also wish that the current day on the calendar itself was in blue or yellow so it stood out. Other than that, I really like it.

Abandoned App Warning - Not for iPhone 4

I loved this app on my 3GS, but the display looks terrible on my new iPhone 4. I went over to the devs website to see about an update including retina display and their public position is "Wait a while" (check it out - they actually feature that quote it on their front page). That ultra-weak "response" came down more than two months ago. In the interim, theyve launched an iPad app that surely has the appropriate sharpness. But nothing about the app we all paid good money for. This application (unfortunately) appears to have been abandoned by its developer. What a shame.

Great Time face Design

There is only one thing that would make me love this app more... the ability to flip between the analog click and the digital flip. A great ehhancement would be different analog time faces...I love the analog time face for the Opera time widget. Or, multiple world clocks with the current analog time face design. Also, would like the calendar to highlight the current day in a different color (yellow?)... I know its promiently displayed in large numbers, but when my eyes go to the calendar, I want to see visually where the current date is relation to the rest of the month. I would like to do that without having to look in two places.

Please update for retina display.

The display looks pretty choppy on the iPhone 4 its pretty sad this issue hasnt been corrected yet.

Major errors introduced in version 3.0.0

1. The date field has been replaced by the seconds field. Although month and day are prominently displayed, there is no indication of date in portrait mode aside from a small underscore down in the calendar area. In landscape mode, there is now no indication of date whatsoever (see second screenshot above). Date was always displayed on previous versions. Seconds display, for most of us, is not critical information and can be displayed less prominently. 2. With 24-hour clock set to "off," at noon, the hour is displayed as "00." That is, at 12:18 p.m. (eighteen minutes after noon) the time reads "00:18." If the above items are due to settings errors on my part, please indicate how they can be resolved in the settings section. Retina display and background alarm support are applauded, but not at the expense of basic utility. Currently, English technical support appears to be through Facebook only, which many of us cannot access from work. Therefore, the only place to report these errors is here.

Love this app!!!

UPDATE: After recent update, issues popped up, like the fact that in 12 hour mode noon is shown as "00" hours instead of "12" and March is listed as February. Oops! -------------- I love flip clocks and this is BY FAR the coolest one. Is it perfect? No, but darn near close. Obviously the sleep issue needs to be resolved as others have already pointed out. I wouldnt mind seeing a weather section added that would show the current temp and sky condition icon that might link to a forecast. Also a top of the hour bing (optional) would be cool. Great job guys!!! I luvs me dis app!

Great App

What would make it awesome is that the icon displays as a real time watch, not making it obligatory to open the app... But as for the rest, its pretty cool!

A good thing gone bad!

The alarm clock I used until middle school was a dark woodgrain clock radio that featured flip time numerals and manual tune channel bar with red illunimation. You could hear that thing change time from another room! I loved that thing and thinking back I still regret going digital. But until version 3.0 was released the void left by disgarding my old Sanyo clock with radio alarm was comfortably filled by Flip Time, it WAS one of my favorite apps. I kept it right on my home screen and one of the apps I would always show people who say "whats so great about iPhone?". BUT unknowingly I upgraded the other day and learned that all good things muct come to an end. The clock has lost its core functionality... IT NO LONGER FLIPS ITS NUMBERS! The amazingly realistic animation of the former flip have been sadly replaced by a slight visual blur effect. Also, my favorite feature of the app was the ability to "mess up" the calendar or flip the clock ahead and it would gracefully recalibrate its digits even giving you a choice of the pattern or sequence of correction, ie row-by-row, diagonal column, etc. Now if I attempt to mess my calendar up 9 out of 10 times it opens the settings menu and on the rarity it does what I want, the return to correct time date is boring and unrealistic. In its current state, the app doesnt do anything well, let alone exceptionally. Save your time, money and device memory for a clock youll enjoy using.

Auto sleep disabled

I use FlipTime as a bedside alarm clock, so the most important features for me are a reasonably dark display (after I manually reduce display brightness) and the suspension of auto sleep so I can see what time it is at any time during the night. The app has been very reliable with no crashes, ever. Loved the retina display update in ver 3.0, but the auto sleep suspension went away. I was considering abandoning this app for that reason. The release of 3.0.1 has restored the suspension of auto sleep feature - yea! Now if the app would also offer the option to automatically reduce the display brightness, this would be a 5 star app.
